About Ms. Stacey

Hi there!  I’m Ms. Stacey and I’m excited to work with our little ones to help them learn and grow!  It’s going to be a fun year filled with lots of new adventures and I can’t wait to see what our time together has in store for us.

Born in Texas, raised in South Florida, I came out to Utah in 2001 to attend college, and it has been my home ever since.  I received my Bachelors of Music from Brigham Young University and later completed my Master’s coursework in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program from the University of the Cumberlands.  I have also studied and trained in various forms of wholistic medicine to further my career as a health and wellness practitioner, but have chosen to return to homeschool teaching while my youngest is in her preschool and early grade school years.  I began teaching 20 years ago as a piano instructor, and have also taught in public, private, and charter schools as a preschool ABA Behavior Specialist, elementary teacher’s assistant, special education instructor, and junior high teacher’s assistant.

I have a deep passion for learning and consider it a blessing and honor to be able to help young learners along their developmental journey!  I strive to create an atmosphere that nurtures academic, social and emotional growth in a positive, fun, and loving way. I believe that academic education and developmental learning are most effective when tailored to each child’s individual needs and strengths, and when the human gift of imagination and creativity is honored rather than ignored.

In addition to teaching, I am also the mother of four beautiful children – one of whom will be attending the preschool classes this year.  I am passionate about reading, crocheting, crafting, playing piano, dancing, and spending time in nature.  Whatever activity it is, I definitely value and enjoy it more if I’m able to do it with friends and family.
